The BC Midwifery Network aims to bring practicing midwives, midwifery leaders, midwifery educators, midwifery researchers and midwifery students together to support the ongoing development of midwifery knowledge and practice and midwifery as a professional discipline.

This collaboration aims to build research capacity and develop a joint research program focusing on midwifery priorities, and promote discussion and debate around midwifery issues at the provincial, national and international levels.

Research activity will support the development of midwifery knowledge and practice and foster the application and translation of findings to practice

In a community of practice the emphasis is on shared learning as members work together, sharing ideas, expertise and resources.
